  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

April shipping update

Brent already said that they are all going out at the same time, by time stamp. you might get a scarlet a little earlier depending on where they are on scarlet orders and where you were in line for the raven orders, because there were lots more raven orders.
 
All, note it is against NAB rules and regulations to actually fulfill orders at NAB itself. You can order, but you cannot take delivery.
 
I have a dream...That after april 15th. We, all Scarlet W package folks who order on December 10th and on, will get it by the end of april. :)
 
Just got allocated as well. Scarlet-W i/o package Sept.25 0:24. :hurray:

what wow! congrats! we were just told pkgs werent being allocated until april 8th!
but now it really doesnt make sense because those scarlet pkgs are ordered after raven pkgs that havent been allocated.
and we were just assured they were going out evenly by timestamp. unless there is a few of the top raven guys that got theirs too but i assume they would be on here freaking out. maybe i just have to restart my computer :)
what IS going on now?

As Brent said, they are going out by timestamp. Scarlet-W has been shipping for a month before Raven started shipping. Meaning that timestamps for Scarlet-W are further along then the Raven timestamps. When a batch of Ravens come out of the oven, they will get allocated as well by there timestamp. Seems quite logical to me.

oh i get that, but if these were allocated and NO raven ones were, then i dont get it. im 9th on the reduser que at 9/24 9:47pm, but in real life im sure im 20th+.
so as long as some of the very very first raven pkgs went out then i DO get it still, if not, then im lost again.
but that means yes, if i switched i would have had mine allocated today, though i was told with my position in line that i wouldnt have to worry.(moot point really cause i dont want to swtich)
as well, we were just told, all the way up to talking to my rep yesterday and i was AT the red store today, that pkgs arent going to be caught up (meaning allocated) until april 8th….so now im really confused, but confused in a happy happy way.

Good to hear they're shipping SW packages before the 8th. Might have a chance to get allocated before NAB after all.

Promising to see that we are now onto September 25th timestamps.

Do you find out the serial number of your camera once it's allocated, or only when it arrives?

When it arrives. It's somewhat random, fulfillment will pull them off the shelf as fresh ones come off the line. Someone got #00007 Scarlet-D a few weeks after it shipped.

Thanks Alexander, good to know. I think most people would be pretty happy if they got that particular serial number :)
