Triple Yes! Don't suppose anyone knows what the japanese word/symbol watermarked on the Nov30th announcement jpg means do they?

Glad to hear we'll get an update on the Scarlet, can't wait! Been wondering about it, since seeing three of 'em in a case last week at the Tropicana, yet no one talked about them with the Epic being passed around. Any news is good news at this point!

We have been dying over here on ScarletUser. Thanks for sending us some love our way, Jim. :}

Oh man! Thanks Jim!!! :)

A Scarlet update is great news! I'm one who decided to get a T2i to tide me over in the meantime, and get some practice in. No, it doesn't hold a candle to the Scarlet, but composition is composition, and as many have said, it's a great stills camera.

I want to be really careful here that I don't put words in Jarred's mouth, so I hope he'll correct me if I say something incorrect or that wasn't to be repeated.

I had the same concern as you. I've been worried Scarlet won't ship until after Epic gets to stage 4, and that Red One owners will get first crack at ordering. I asked about this at the Tropicana, and Jarred allayed both concerns. He said the release will trail Epic's initial release, but it shouldn't be as late as Stage 4. He also said that since Scarlet can be much more mass-produced than Epic, ordering won't be handled the same way--i.e. stages just for Red One owners.

Of course, as we know, everything is subject to change! I'll buy Scarlet as soon as I can, and in the meantime, it just allows me to save more.

Can't wait... thanks
