Any films out yet shot with this glass? Would love to see an entire film put the set through the paces.

Any footage links welcome, thanks in advance for posting.

Best.

Thanks Martin. Any idea what camera he used?

I day played a bit on a indie feature last summer shot on the leicas. Florian Ballhaus was the DP and he was shooting with his personally owned set. The film is called Lullaby, shot on Alexa and 95% leicas. You should be seeing it in the film festival circuit soon hopefully.

Would love to know if David Luther is using the Leica Cs on Hit & Miss. Tried Googling for that factoid but no luck, anyone know?

Watched an episode recently that blew me away - spectacular bokeh and beautiful focus fall off from pure sharps to soft shapes. Also terrific field illumination in low key lighting. Some of the carnival scenes are practically cinematography champagne. The content is rather intense and might not be your cup of tea, but the imagery is amazing and the framing is dynamic.

Cheers - #19

if you ever shot on primos that's basically what they are but faster and a lot more modern. a lot of the characteristics remained the same, since primos were leica optics. from what someone at bandpro told me, they use a special method of filtrating light that locks onto skin tone in a specific way. working the leicas and primos, I honestly had to do very little with the LUT to land the skintone to where they needed. they are pretty awesome.

David Luther used Cooke S4's on Hit & Miss. It is stated in the video description he posted here: http://vimeo.com/49774837

bump. Any features, links to footage appreciated.

Somehow I missed this thread, but Will check out Iron Man 3. A good amount of it was shot on the LSCs. Also, David Fincher and Jeff Cronenweth are shooting Gone Girl on them right this very second.

The Conjuring, shot on Leica Summilux C and Alexa.

On the tv side......Suits.....this season.....one of my favorite shows.......
