  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Another update...

Love your update, Jim.
Seems to feel the vibrations that come from the bunker.

Hope to see you at NAB.

Cheers

I would look at Stage 2 to be shipped by May/June.

Cheers to this.....:cheers2:

Technically summer ends in September... so that means all Stage 2 and 3 should be shipped well before then. All orders placed at NAB will certainly be shipped before then.

Jim

Great thanks, My Taylor Hall offer still stands :)

I'm thinking that all Stage 2 should be prepared for updates... Stage 3 should be pretty well enabled.

Jim

Thanks for the update JJ!
When you say a few Epic-Xs. Is there an estimate in quantity there that you guys are guessing?
10? 100? more or less?

I'm using the term EPIC-X as Stage 2, Stage 3 and the S35 brain after... $28K. Not EPIC-S.

Jim

No Problem there Jim, I'm sure all of us in stage two are more than willing to work through any issues, and manage regular firmware updates.

Thanks for the information.

Steve

im confused with stages and the order availability!! if i dont have a stage and will i be able to order at NAB or thru the website and still be able to get my Epic before summer end?

Thanks for the wee hour updates, Jim. Much appreciated.

Can we anticipate Red Gunner specs/pricing/updates at NAB?

Yes. Plus a full demonstration at NAB.

Jim

will we see some new integration with FCP ?

I know that Stage 3.5 represents only a few hundred camera owners, and it often gets lost in the shuffle.

Has a verdict been reached on this question that you were considering?

http://reduser.net/forum/showpost.php?p=623146&postcount=37

I am asking because knowing the answer would allow us to make important decisions like ... Do we continue to outfit our Red Ones with accessories like the side SSD module, M-X sensor, etc. or should we prepare to say goodbye to these cameras.

It would also allow Stage 3.5 owners, like myself, to properly judge how much money we will have to have put aside in the next six months.

Thanks Jim.

One wink for red taking deposits for Scarlet at NAB

Two for after. :)

Given the situation in Japan and what Jim said earlier about some optical components coming from there, I think a status update at NAB is about all we should expect. If the optics are being made where I think they are being made, the factory is not damaged, but there are rolling blackouts and a lot of other issues that could affect availability. On the other hand, I'm sure the country as a whole wants to get back to normal production - as that's what will finance the recovery.
