Announcing REDVOLT EXPANDER for Weapon

[Reaz Ahmed]

WoW !!! its Crazy ... !!!

[Karel Šimůnek]

Outstanding morning today! Can't wait for the specs!

[Adam Howden]

Yeah bit unsure about the revolt thing, makes it bigger than needed for me.

True. But, will be interesting to se how much the redvolt sticks out. And how long runtime a redvolt gives.

[camRAW]

Props for full size XLR connections.

[Cameron Currier]

Looks to me it should sit fully in the housing.

[Adrian Pruett]

Also, very nice. But let's see where things keep going.

[Demetri Zuev]

I think it's mainly there not for the camera but for phantom power through XLRs and quick V-mount bat switches

[Abiodun Shote]

Very nice. I still wish for a simple and cheaper xlr module

+1, I love this module but the price........, the BASE EXPANDER is perfect price wise except they could have sneaked in mini XLR. Would have been the killer module for me. That said, all the modules coming out so far have been stellar

[Frank Mirbach]

Yep. That´s really cool !

[dino g]

nice

[Gunleik Groven]

I guess this is my favorite RED setup so far... Great work!

[Alexander Christ]

Do the Aux power out also support run/stop?

[Patrick Grossien]

We'll have to see what Offhollywood comes up with price wise

[Jarek Zabczynski]

I like it, but I wish it had 2x SDI out. I also hope the HDMI is 4k.

[Damien Molineaux]

+1

Can we use this on existing Epics and Scarlets, or is this weapon only?

Cheers,
Damien

PS I'm afraid I know the answer, but I don't have $30'000+ lying around.

[Jeremy Torrie]

I love this...will that ET V-Mount go on the back of this too?

[Mattias Åkerlind]

Any chance for a special version of this with:

• 10-Gigabit Ethernet port that allows tethered full bandwidth (300 MB/s) streaming of RED RAW to a computer for live/realtime grading, quality control, direct recording to RAID storage.
• HDMI 2.0/SDI (6G/12G) with UHD/4K output

? Is the Weapon CF hardware capable of supporting this (in particular 10-Gig ethernet)? Needs to know before pressing the order button...

[Bob Gundu]

Is there any chance that this unit will have 4K output? Even that new cheap Canon X10 can output 4K via HDMI.

[Phil Holland]

Yep. Element Technica's V-Lock or AB-Lock Module will attach to it.
