  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Announcing REDVOLT EXPANDER for Weapon

It says "ESTIMATED TO BEGIN SHIPPING BY END OF 2015" in the store. So basically no Ethernet support at all for Weapon for the first 6 months? Seems strange with the new tethering support...

Was wondering the same thing. Seems weird to stay on HDMI 1.2 - seems quite old fashioned... What's so bad about having HDMI 1.4 or 2.0?
 
The RedVolt Expander has been redesigned from what was originally posted at NAB. Not sure the exact details on the HDMI port but I do know it now features 2 HDSDI ports!

Shhhhhh. I've seen the new design though and it's a bit improved than before for sure.
 
Oh Phil, I've been all over that new design for months! That's going to be my main expander of choice for sure. Retain my hot swap with the smallest form factor and ports-o-plenty!

Same. Once that sucker comes out it's going to live on my rig most of the time. Need the TC and XLRs more than anything.

Nice, love hearing that they are improving on the Revolt Expander. Is it just me or would it be cool they got rid of the revolt slot battery slot and shortened it up a bit :) or threw in some more RAW/Memory in its place for high frame rate burst work. I can dream can't i.

This with a V LOCK hanging off the back is my module of choice.

And a Handgrip with a RED VOLT in it to stay uber small is on my wish list.

Small and powerful is why I came to the RED party :)

And the audio block not only has the line/mic level switches now, it is actually removable so you can swap out with different audio connectors if that's your thing....
