The original image is from a post by Jarred when he presents the new 4.7 monitor. But after a tip from Brent, he said "pay attention to the handle". It's a yet unannounced side handle.
The original image is very dark and you barely see the handle. I brought it into PS to lift the shadows, but obviously someone had already anticipated that move and made sure there was nothing to find—the handle is masked.
…is prores 2k crop or scale?
Red bashing for no good reason isnt productive heh.. but hey everyone is entitled to their opinion, I think most people see the benefits to this camera. For my part, i look at it as more than a new camera. This tool will bring more people, younger people (i think someone mentioned they were buying it for their son, as i will prob give my son mine when he is old enough) into the world of digital film making, and that is very exciting. More experienced PEOPLE make content better, and makes life on set easier. i think RED has done something that will set a new standard for ALL Projects big and small, and i am loving the idea that "the right tool for the job" absolutely applies here. if you don't like this offering, please purchase a BMD product and get back to me on how that's going for ya~
To be clear, I think RAVEN may be one of the most transformative things RED has ever done.
Gotta tip your hat to RED.
They started as company that REDEFINED INDIE cinema.
And it looks like they've done it again.
BRAVO.
More people being able to make amazing imagery...is always a good thing.
And being on the ground floor of a revolution....priceless.
so how would a man get a wide angle shot with this beast?
Should have been s35 sensor, but i understand, to get these "affordable" frame rates in 4K, one must have smaller sensor-which will screw up my wide lens investment. MFT Mount with MFT size sensor would allow me to use speed booster and fast Voigtlander Primes.
Wasn't trying to defend the guys post or the merits of the camera(I'd personally love to have one). I get why it would upset people who work hard to get a complicated product to market. My gripe is when the leader of this forum asks someone to keep their mouth shut. I'd hope this place is for open conversation, both ways, and most of the time it is. Clearly that's not always the case as my comment was deleted.
Yeah, it's pretty funny watching people lose their shit over the lack of a PL mount option. 1st world problems eh?
Half of those people have probably never actually shot with PL. They just want to gripe! LOL
Shoot on a 16mm prime? 4K is just a shade off Academy 35. I have a 16mm T2 Standard I had fortuitously converted to EOS...is going to look LOVELY on RAVEN.

150 FPS, 4K WS
I think many of us Epic Dragon owners would really consider jumping over to Weapon MG if the price were lower.
