Announcing JETPACK for Weapon

Yes! Love the pictures. Red's Jetpack looks rad. Prepare for liftoff. :emote_head_explode:

Did you notice the Lemo adapter attached?! That's pretty cool.

I wonder how they power the weapon while on the Ronin-M?

Also hoping to se a good module with nobs and buttons.

Luv it!

I hope they make a Jet Pack versions with SDI.
+100 I do a lot of movi stuff and my teradek is only SDI so adding a HDMI to SDI is not gonna be a fun idea.

Is the Ronin-m the lightest / preferred option at this point? (say vs a MoVi M5 or the Lettuce Helix Magnesim)

The Weapon CF weighs 3.27 lb. What about the Jetpack? And the New 7" Weapon monitor?

What technology is the wireless transmission inside the Weapon? If it's 802.11ac ... any chance of extra 'CPU power' of the CF weapon to be used to send a low frequency 720p image for an iOS or other App to decode (or is this an Area that Red wants to steer clear from?). This would keep the inertia of the rotated weight to a minimum.

Is the Jetpack solution expecting the 7 inch Weapon monitor to be attached to the brain during gimbal use? Attached to the Ronin-m with wires?

I guess the Ronon can only supply 6w. Is there anything they can do to augment their battery offering so no additional lipo has the taped onto the moving mass of the camera (or is that is dumb suggestion?)

Is there any benefit in keeping a Steadicam Vest & arm to attach the whole Ronin-m + Weapon to ... or this not required? Or is this an outdated concept and people now use the EasyRig or Exoskeleton solutions?

added some specs to the first post weight etc.

Holy crap that is really, really lightweight then. So 0.5lbs for the JETPACK and lets say 3.27lbs for the Weapon CF (3.35lbs for MG). That's under 4lbs before you get the lens and DSMC Lens Mount involved. For some small lenses you'll be under 6lbs even. Still floating in the range of 6-9lbs with heavier glass, which really isn't a back breaker.

Everybody on gimbals just think about that. Hell, Steadicams too.

With WCF, Jetpack and Leica m mount, practically any small, light rangefinder or dslr lens will be useable. Add the Helix jr., and you are at about 10lbs all in. Fantastic.

Any chance on making a jetpack sdi version?
