Is this a temporary thing? All of Jim's threads have vanished into purgatory

yeah, im guessing they're just rearranging, but it's still disconcerting.

Looks like they're changing it to "Crucial Ordinance" where Jim's threads will be lumped with other important announcements from Red. Sounds awesome!

EDIT: for some reason, if you log out, Recon still shows on the Reduser homepage...

Yeah, I've been lurking to see whats going on. My hope is that important posts that get lost in huge threads will be found easily in the new section.

Oh - no you can't. Unless you are logged out.

INT. JIM JANNARD"S OFFICE -- DAY

Action happens as the 3rd movement of Beethoven's 7th symphony plays. Jarred and the rest of the team walk towards the blurred shape of Jim's desk, where Jim labors on his computer. They quietly surround the desk, the camera cutting to their POV, looking down on Jim, who's smoking a cigar and looks at them with a trusting, inquisitive smile on his face. From Jim's POV, we see the onlookers suddenly move in on him, their arms filling up the screen. In quick cuts, Jim is subdued, his distraught face shooting looks of virile rage towards Jarred, whose reply is nothing more than a cold stare. As we start to go out of focus, Jim is being dragged through a corridor, the outside light coming through the windows surrounding his struggling body and those of his captors, rendering them into silhouettes. Cut to CU of Jarred's eyes, coldly following the action. He then turns around towards Jim's desk, sits, grabs the mouse and starts working in Jim's computer. All secret RED files start being deleted, as diagrams of the Pro lenses, Scarlet, Epic, Mysterium X, etc flash on the screen. Eventually, the message "Full Deletion Complete" appears and Jarred starts getting up. A cut to his face shows he's remembered something. On quick CU cuts, Jarred tipes away on the keyboard and we see the controlling interface of Reduser being opened. The message "Permanently delete Recon thread?" appears, and Jarred's eyes move from that to the header of Recon, where in a quick zoom we see the "Words by Jim" under Recon. Jarred's eyes blink almost imperceptibly. His finger clicks the mouse button. As Jarred gets up and walks away in out of focus foreground, the message "Recon thread permanently deleted" flashes on Jim's 30" Apple monitor, and to the side of the screen, his Cuban cigar smolders away. Cut to a room with metallic walls and a cold look, a big vault door at its center. Jarred enters, walks to a phone on the wall and dials a long combination of numbers. He then speaks into the phone in what sounds like Japanese. Jarred's hand hangs up the phone, and from there we follow it to a pocket in his pants, from where he extracts a switch blade knife. In a wide shot, we see Jarred remove his clothes, exposing his naked form. He then makes a deep lengthwise cut into his forearm, exposing a titanium endoskeleton underneath, and in one sweeping, monumental move, he rips the skin off from his body, leaving a blood smeared, glowing T-800 terminator body exposed. CU on the red eyes, and to a blurred word imprinted on the metal in between the eyes. As the focus racks in, we can read the "Property of Sony Electronics" tag. The terminator pounding theme music grows in crescendo. Fade to Black.

so now you know what happened to Recon...

I guess we are all holding out breath - what the section is gonna to tell us. I bet lots of good news :) like the price is coming down for the Prime set. Or may be a free Scarlet for all the dedicated forum users :)

I doubt they're going to be making any new annoucements. They're just reorganizing so it's easier for them to tease us with screen grabs and photos of configurations :)

Just a reorganization. Recon must have a security flag set wrong so members who are logged-in can't see it. ahahaha... OK,

Crucial Ordnance will be where we lump a lot of important info that people should read. It's hopefully going to be that one-stop-shop experience for all the people who just want to stop by and view the latest and move on.

Jeff just a minor template nitpick:

These icons are still from the default template and not from this red one the forums used to have.

Jarred is in charge of the site skin templates... Nothing I can do. I know he's still tweaking an new one, which he tried to install the other day. But it caused problems with firefox and maybe other browsers. So we're in template limbo right now.
