Who can help me out here? There’s an Arca Swiss plate on my Komodo for the DJI RS3 and Gitzo travel tripod, but every time I switch over to my heavy duty tripod with rods, I’ve got to remove it. What’s the best solution?

When on the RS3, this actually beats everything. 5 bucks and a 3D printer and you are good to go.

Super low profile and gets the camera as close to the tilt motor as possible., perfect to balance with Tilta or small rig counter weights.

This doesn’t directly solve your problem, but I have a similar problem and am looking at the Bright Tangerine combined Arri dovetail base (with 15mm rods)/RS3 compatible plate kit:

https://www.brighttangerine.com/store/leftfield-qr-baseplate-dji-rs-2-rs-3-for-red-komodo/

Great if you’re using heavier duty tripod setups, or course, that might typically feature Arri dovetail plates. (Which I only rent.) But you could standardize on Arri dovetail and use smaller generic dovetail plates attached to Arca plates (or Manfrotto plates or Sachtler plates) or whatever else.

It’s not a cheap solution, but it seems fairly secure and offers wide compatibility.

Love the printable plate Björn Benckert!

You could also have it in milled aluminium, titanium or gold at any rotoprototyping page. ;)
