  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ADOBE PREMIERE 6 --- I HAVE NO WORDS ....

So does anyone know where the audio scrub on/off is? It would of been nice if they added it next to the snap button. I'm also unable to get the match frame to work. Hopefully they fix these bugs before releasing.

Hey Ivan - You can disable audio scrubbing under the audio tab of the preferences. New in CS6 this toggle is also assignable as a keyboard shortcut.

@ Luigi:

What kind of workstation you use atm? Z800? As Hack or with Windows 7? You sent me some Ebay links a time ago from a reseller in UsA,
can ypu please repost them?

Thanks!

Thanks a lot! The Z800 price increased about +1400 $ for the dual 4-Core ;/ From 2300 to 3700 $!
You think thats a lot, check out a fully stocked Z820 with fast processors, lots of ram and all the goodies you want when working with Red....$14,000!!!! :D

Thank you for testing Luigi! Very nice to know how Premiere CS6 is performing. Keep them coming :)

Does CS6 only use the main GPU (the one for gui) for acceleration or does it use additional GPU's? Nice to know if it will perform on my Mac pro Davinci Resolve station with a GTX470 for acceleration.

How do i get my blackmagic card to output video? Audio is working. Its not selectable from the preferences menu. (Im a FCP7 Convert). Something Im missing? Is it disabled in the Trial?

Edit: Running OSX 10.6.8 on a 4,1 Quad Core Mac Pro with a Blackmagic DeckLink HD Extreme 3D Card.

Are you running the CS6 trial version? If so you must be on Lion to have Adobe Transmit functional with AJA harware. Then you need the appropriate drivers from AJA as well. Those are stilll in development and havent been released as of yet.
I am not a fan of BMD so I have to relevant info on their status.

So what you are saying is ..... ill need to upgrade to lion and wait for BMD to release drivers for Premiere CS6?

BMD drivers 9.5 will work (at least that is what Luigi says in an earlier post on this thread). Maybe they need to be reinstalled, and maybe they will only work on lion?

Ciao Christian,
for gui i utlize 8800 geforce gt 512 mb and for cuda i use gtx 590 (2gpu)

I'm trying with Joe, some test renders with its sandy bridge 32 core on windows 7 64bit platform.

for example, rendering red epic 4:23 clip 5k down 1080p h264. with REDCINE-X 1h 12 min , with Adobe premeire CS6 about 5 minutes. impressive.
There lighthouse 'knowledge in the coming days.

thanks
Luigi

You might even want to wait for us to release CS6 ;)

Cheers

Dave

Waiting would be fine except I'm upgrading 6 macs and I'm trying to make sure everything will work when we make the switch from FCP7. So think of it as getting one customer out of the way when you'll have a flood of issues with the official release. :) All in good fun

GPU support list CS6

GPU support list CS6

I am super happy for all the people here that are up to speed. A bit bummed that my gtx470 is not supported yet, but thought this list of supported Nvidia cards could be useful for some:
http://www.adobe.com/no/products/premiere/tech-specs.html
I am not well versed in GPU installation and utilization though, so maybe someone could chime in on eventual workarounds for the gtx470. Thx.

If CS6 works like CS5.5, there is a text file you can edit that will get your card to work. Your card will just not be officially supported by Adobe.

Strange, installed 9.5 yesterday and was testing between FCPX and Premiere Pro.
Today both dont work anymore with my Intensity Pro :(
