Hi

Does the 5v redmote Cable can be used to provide regulated power for something like the Asus Wicast ? Or actiontec mywireless ?

I would gladly use it with the VF Ptap to usb to multiply 5V usb powered devices.

I'd love more info on the EVF mount, the SWAT rail to 19mm adapter, and the HD Wireless transmitter with the additional HD-SDI out that is shown briefly in the Finner video. Good stuff -- details please! Thanks!

The EVF mount will fit the 19mm standard supported by the Left Side Plate's rod clamp. We are making progress with the EVF mount and we hope to have it out very soon. I will keep everyone posted on its progress.

The SWAT rail to 19mm adapter will be out soon too, however the rail will be available separately online in addition to the combo offered for using it as a TopHandle. I will update you on this as soon as possible also.

The HD wireless transmitter has an extended range up to 150 ft! It will stream the HD-SDI signal without encoding to keep latency at a minimum. The receiver will work with both HDMI and HD-SDI connections.

New Epic/Scarlet Top Rail Grip! First units are available for pre-order and will be shipped the second half of July 2012!

- This Top Handle is based off of ActionProducts Nato-Rail, 7075 aluminum with an anodized coating. The unit is ultra light and offers you the ability to quick-mount or slide it on to a Nato-Rail. This makes it possible to mount various accessories directly on the grip by using the 1/4" and 3/8" treads or the rail it self. The rail can be mounted treads up or down and can be placed in any horizontal position. Available as a full set complete with two 19'O'Rails or as a stand alone unit.

How are the products coming around, particularly the EVF mount, do you already have renders how it works, and any idea when it will be up for sale?

Here's a question I have been trying to answer. I LOVE your audio solution. If I mount red's quick release camera plate on the bottom of the 15mm audio plate from viewfactor, and then use red's epic 19mm Quick release baseplate, will the 19mm spacing be off? I'm assuming it would, but this would be the ultimate rig. Does this make sense?

Hey Justin......
Any chance of some pics or renders of the new modules & bits & pieces....?
Would also love to see how they intergrate with Electra & proteus modules
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul, you figured out how to trigger the camera recording with your wooden handgrip via the proteus?

Cheers,

Yean

Hello Justin,

Just a quick question, I don't know if this has been answered somewhere in the forum. Your riser plate that provides xlr inputs looks very interesting to me, I like it a lot that the cables run inside so you have less of them hanging around the camera. The use of it though, together with the RED quick release platform, would that result to an offset of the camera in relation to the correct position required for rod systems? In your site there is mentioned that the riser is needed to bring the Epic in the correct position for rods but then again, RED seems not to be producing a riser like this and it seems that their QR platform positions the camera correctly for rod standards by itself...

Thank you in advance for any clarification...

I asked this same question and he said to call action products and tell them. Apparently there is some sort of plate they offer that's not listed that solves this problem. I want to do the same thing, use the AP audio plate then the red quick release plate w/ 19mm rails.

Hi Jake, thanks for the info. I actually went to the innocinema site today and saw that they just added the item yesterday! It must be this one: http://eu.innocinema.com/product_info.php?cPath=34_48&products_id=252
The only thing I don't quite get is that mention of a little gap between the camera and the rod mount and if and how it could effect anything, don't know, like stability of accessories mounted on the 15mm rods maybe?
Anyone have any info on that?

Cheers,

Vassili

The material is aircraft aluminum that makes this product extremely lightweight and sturdy. The spacing in the plate makes room for the audio cables to travel with in the plate towards the front of the plate. This spacing has no effect on the plates ability to support RED's QR system (19mm) or our 15mm rod mount adapter ( US site ) with accesories like matte boxes and or follow focus systems.

If you are interested in the 15mm adapter, we have it available on our US site. If you would like to purchase from the EU site, let me know and I will provide a link to the listing.

Man this seriously rocks. You guys make the best accessories, period. I've said this before.

Hi Justin,

How does the trigger cable for Proteus work? I'm desperate to use my Aaton wooden handgrip!!
