  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

A taste...

Dude... we are getting much more than that... Expect a milk girls footage type unveiling!

I think it is the base for Epic.. I mean, what the crap could it be otherwise?
Whatever it is it is going to rock AND look sexy!

The logo on it says "Scarlet."

I want one!!! What is it? lol:tongue: A Red Hot Iron!

Not exactly sure what this is... :-)

OK, let's see...

The holes in the bottom look like something where rods go, so it is the base of the camera. From the size, it looks like full size camera, so it is Epic. Because of the extended base, it can't be the front. If it is not the front...

OK, it is the lower part of the rear end of the Epic. Right?

Note that if those were rod channels [19mm and 15mm video], they would be at different optical distances. There would also be no locking mechanism. While they certainly appear to pay homage to the rods, I don't think they are actual rod channels.

If they were rod channels, that would make that "chin" approximately 5-6" wide. Since the logo's position indicates that this is either the top or front of the device, I'd imagine that it is the top of some sort of dock or accessory and the camera is mounted on it in the upper-right corner of the image.

Interestingly enough, if the side with the holes is the "front," the device is strangely asymmetrical. The left [far side in this rendering] appears to stick out and the right [close in the rendering] appears to sink in.

I'm probably 100% wrong.

The more I look at it, the more I assume that the bit with the holes in it is the back of the device. If it is a dock or accessory of some sort - and the bit in the upper right is the camera - it wouldn't make sense to have so much going on on the "front" of the camera. So maybe it's the back of some product. The asymmetrically makes me think it's some sort of shoulder mount or something, but it's not something that I see and instantly want on my shoulder.

You guys are cruel.

Its the Scarlet Base Charger? Jim, please tell us if we Guess it?

Jarred's photography?

Jarred, you have to seriously think about a photography course. Or, at least a few lessons on subject framing. Well, at least you got the lighting right this time around. LOL

looks like cg to me, doesn't it ? I think it is part of the scarlet warp drive.
Aloha

OK, so if it is Scarlet, it has several LEMO sockets at the back. What would they be?

Power? That means it is sharing power options with Red One rather than having dedicated battery slot in its body. I think it would be good move to have standard power.

Digital Magazine? Not just CF. Nice!

GPIO? I bet.

Jarred, how is the photography course going? Any progress? LOL :sarcasm:
