Ok so I've promised to share something with you and here it is. I mentioned I found a new case designer in the states.
I love my gear.. I'm a gear head.. It's not enough for me to store a piece of kit, I want to SHOW OFF a piece of kit.. And protecting it is nice too.
So... I started talking to my good friend Jason Comparetto about the best (I.E. coolest) case one could make. We did a lot of research and put together elements from our favorite stuff. Jason is more wired for doing this sort of thing, so I let him run with it.
Now let me be clear.. These things are not "cheap" They are meant to be custom designed from the ground up. That takes time, and that costs money. There are some ways to save by numerous people ordering a specific design. So a group buy could work. Also he is not really designing the "cases" as much as he's designing the inserts.. So if you already have the case, he can just give you the new super-cool insert.
If you are a member of Infotech, there will be group buys. If you are a PAID member, then there will be a discount on top of that.
If you are into rental, then these cases are idiot-proof (Under the current model of idiot... Cause once you make something "idiot proof" someone makes a better idiot).
Soon I have no doubt Jason will jump in and we'll all start our planning and drooling.. Until then here are some photos:
