  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

9" LCD shipping today....

Hey Ketch, how do you do to always have the RED stuff on your rigs BEFORE ANYONE ? Are you Jim's brother in law or some like that ? BTW, i appreciate your love and passion for this...

He he, I just have a sense of when they hit the store and push the BUY button faster I guess... ;)

BTW, I just can't say enough how much I have come to love the 9" Touch Screen, and yes it fills and looks big, but when a MB is placed in front of the lens, then it perfectly fits in... JUST LOVE IT!!

Hiya Ketch, good to hear. A very nice setup you have there! I decided to only get the oled bomb for my first Epic. Still considering options for second screen. Options are the 9" and the smallHD 5.6 or maybe coming 7".
Would you bring the 9" with you if you are doing some shooting in the forest. It looks awesome but seems pretty darn heavy. Also how useful is the touch screen, would I be missing out lots with something like the smallHD?

Cheers!

9" & Oled EVF permanently on camera no matter what, the weight is perfectly balanced by the Lens/MB setting, and placed in front this way it balances to the added weight on back of the module, which will be perfect when the Meizler +a V-Lock batteries is placed in rear.

It actually gives it more of a Movie Camera set up kind of weigh, at list this is what every easy, and I agree that the EPIC body alone can sometime fill more like a Medium Format Still camera, then a Cinema camera, and this type of set ups makes you clearly remember and take notice that this is a CINEMA camera... ;)

The Touch option is crucial , and I sold the SmallHD as well as the 5" and 7" long ago, never will I go smaller on the screen, this is how good it is, and not only for crucial focusing, or for the operator but for your immediate Play back and confirmation that you got what you want, even when you are not connected to an external Monitor.
