I have a situation where we'd like to enable in-studio 8k monitoring - or more precisely - quad view UHD monitoring on a single large consumer display. Preferably by using a single input on the display for each use case.
Input #1: monitor up to 4 UHD live feeds from DSMC3 cams on-set
Input #2: 8k monitoring of 1 8k signal from Mac/PC playback
Display would be a Samsung QN900B or similar - though open to suggestion.
The Teranex Mini will convert 4x 12G-SDI signals to HDMI 2.0 but not 2.1 as far as I can tell.

The only unit I have found that will stitch 4x HDMI 2.0 feeds into a single 2.1 8k feed is the Astro IA-1566 which is $10K and prefer to avoid that if possible.
The Constellation 8k has a multi view 8k mode but its still quad SDI out so that doesn't get you any closer.
Has anyone cracked this one?
