  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Seriously considering purchasing my first RED....bang up job team!
 
It basically is a weapon, but fixed mount (ef) and limited to 4k-120fps redcode/2k-60fps prores... Other than that its basically a weapon.

Wonder if that means it'll record 120 at 24fps timebase in prores?

Not sure about my answer but I think I read in the specs it will only do 60 fps in Pro Res.
 
I see their base expander that comes with the base i/o package. Is there another expander with a v-mount plate that I'm missing?

If you do your own editing, having two camera angles are something that once you get used to, you really miss when it's gone. At least that's me. I'm getting a RAVEN as a b cam.

Question: how do I handhold this thing? Is the side handle compatible with this? What are some rigging options for handholding REDs?

There will be a Side Handle and options for this. It's all kinda happening right this second. Weapon and Raven are part of this DSMC² body style where a lot of things are getting designed from the ground up.
 
can someone confirm:

1. are deposits definitely refundable?

2. does RAven have WS mode?
 
Sh is important to me. I had no use for a weapon with no sh. But a Raven Im mostly interested have living on a gimball. So perhaps not as important. Did it have wifi or do you need a module?

Raven has built in WIFI, just like Weapon.
 
I'm hearin it Elsie, I'm so emotionally attached to her. If I sold it, it would be like an Old Yeller moment for me.
