  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

My gear will be here by tomorrow!!! I'm so stoked right now. Not sure how I'm going to sleep tonight so my plan is to run 5 miles after work to tire myself out enough so i can sleep :) Need to be well rested for my unboxing party tomorrow!

I think my girlfriend is just as stoked as I am that she won't have to hear me talk about the camera anymore and what I'm going to do with it when i get it. She won't be able to call it the fabled camera anymore!!!!

GOOD luck mike . i will tell you , go sleep now , cause tomorrow you will never sleep .

I have associated myself pretty well with the camera over the last year so I'm pretty comfortable with it but I will read the manual tonight to help me get to sleep for good measure. Its pretty amazing to think its only a day away!

merry christmas mike :w00t:

Thanks guys! Best christmas I ever had :)
I must say, those Carbon X rods are light as a feather! I bought the 12' Element Technica Rods also which are half the weight of the steel rods but the Carbon X rods are half the weight of the ET's. Plus the black really looks cool! I'm going to buy a set of the 18' as well now especially for handheld work. I'll post more pics with the RR Mattebox later tonight when that arives.

Mike : did you buy them from redstore ?

Yup, sure did. They are the Black CARBON X rods with the RED dot in the middle of the front of the rod. You can't miss em in the RED Store. They are kinda pricey and I wouldn't necessarily use them to brace a big heavy zoom, but for a handheld configuration they are awesome, light as a feather! I am going to purchase a set of the 18' CARBON X Rods soon.
