1st Scarlet....

[Jeffrey T. Morgan]

Guys! You must watch this!

I just got hold of some spy footage of Peppa unboxing the Scarlet X! I would really like to know this dude's order number. What's intriguing is that it was all shot with another 4K camera that should be hitting the market in January 2012. One thing is clear, as I suspected the Scarlet's menus are far too complicated:

LOL!

Gonna get a cup of cold milk and curl up with Tonaci... s article.

[Lorenzo Straight]

Well that settles it. Scarlet can handle feature film shoots.
Thanks for sharing, Tonaci.

Tonaci, the footage early in the piece slowed down - was that shot in 3k? And if so is the entire film being done in 3k or just the test shots?

Good stills and video Tonaci, but what we would really like to see is a side by side comparison of a Red-mx, an epic M and a scarlet x. Trust me the whole entire world is looking for that one.

It s my first try with cine red X :So i can t find all the tools i need , so It s not perfect but thats only a quick first step of a way of grading ......

Just FYI you have a very noticeable green cast in your images... not sure if you're aware of that. I realize it's your first try with Red Cine X but just want you to have a heads up.

Tonaci's mentions this in his post elsewhere on the forum and on his Vimeo page - http://vimeo.com/33595071

All was 4K apart from the 3rd shot that was 3K/48fps

[Steinar Andersen]

This is my attempt. Sorry about the crappy jpeg but you get the idea;P

Thanks Andy, missed that. Man 48 looks too good.

I am curious; this thread is called "1st Scarlet" but nobody else to my knowledge shared any experience yet. Plus for some reason Tonaci says that he is "managing two Scarlets" on current shoots. So, how many Scarlets are out there and can their respective owners share their experiences?

Yes I own Scarlet #007 and Scarlet #037. My wife and I both attended the November 3rd event and placed orders on the spot. I will be posting more feedback in part II of my review. I just have been working nonstop so trying to squeeze this in between the madness.

There are quite a few other Scarlets that have been delivered:
