www.red.com/nab/scarlet is now the first thing on google under red scarlet

[John Wee]

I think Scarlet is going to be 35mm sensor and available initially with a fixed 35mm zoom lens to cushion the Red One owners. Then, in next upgrade, since everything is modular, Red will release an interchangeable lens module that allows us to use any 35mm lens.

I think Jim will also announce that big portion of the upcoming 007 movie was shot on Red. Fore sure the Music video was, but maybe big part of the movie was too, using Red One and an early prototype of Epic...:w00t:

You can pretty much see it already. Scarlet it "freakin' sweet"!!!!! Seriously. From what we have already seen the only thing I need to do is come up with the rest of my money for the camera and as many of the module parts.

Well, one thing I was mistaken on (but not at all disappointed), at least at this time, is that Red was skipping the Mysterium-X sensor and going straight for Monstro... but then again, what exactly IS the Mysterium-X sensor? :}

Mark Romanek at Pause NYC event just talked about him using RED and Fincher stuff as well.Romanek is still a film guy though.

Maybe the modular design will allow us to buy new add-ons as we go! So we can grow it without killing our pocketbooks.
