  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

+1 Monitor Adaptor

Can you attach the DSCM Tactical BackPack Plate to this?

Would like to attach BackPack QuickPlate.

Funny, I just discovered this. I had been hoping the same thing. I would let the setup live with the +1 and the DSMC Tactical Backpack for the most part (so that I can attach the Quickplate directly to cam). However, no, it doesn't work. The screw head connection points on the +1 are in the same position as where we would need threads for the Tactical plate.

This should be the right thing if I'm not mistaken.

Thinking of getting this and puting the bolt on it.

Hey Bjorn,

Yes sir, that is the correct solution...the cheese plate on the backside of the Backpack Adaptor Plate will enable the DSMC Tactical Backpack to be bolted to it. Additionally, the back of the +1 Adaptor contains the female connection points which mirror the male points on the Backpack Adaptor Plate.

Happy shooting, dude.

Got a problem here...

Put the bolt onto the backpack and that onto the +1... all happy having such nice setup. But then when looking at the monitor for the reciver I realized it works just as crappy as the pro I/o, or am I missing something? what to do is people using this setup and it actually works? Is there different kind of bolts that suck different amount of juice?

Maybe have the second EVF/Monitor running at the same time?

The pic has two RED monitors running - so that'll reduce the juice... maybe the power output increases if a second monitor isn't attached.

Not a good way to do things... but might be the issue?

Just set it up, works fine for me. Dialogue window for +1 Module Power Out reads "OK". The port is supposed to supply 2 amps which should easily cover the transmitter and 2nd monitor.

Build 4.0.8 currently.

Edit: I also just tried switching from RedVolts to Bricks. Still fine.

Thanks for helping me problem solve.. .Still have not solved the issue. Tried to contact mike from teradek about it. my guess is that there is different firmwares for the teradek and maybe the one I have sucks more juice.. Or my epic or redvolts are, not as should be.

Will look into it more, need to get this to work before the weekend...

From Teradek : I believe anything above serial #72000873 will have most of the mods, but it isn't a for sure thing. I would have to manually check the device against our list of upgraded units.
About the upgrade : We performed a number of modifications to the Bolt line (free of charge) that greatly enhanced the stability of the device. This includes a higher voltage tolerance (6-28V) and a few interference mitigation modifications (to enhance range and transmission stability). We've also adjusted some things with the battery.
Hope it helps.

Thanks Jean,
I will look for my serial first thing in the morning. Question where do I find the actuall number?

Please, email me regarding this at bjorn at syndicate dot se
