  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

+1 Monitor Adaptor

Bingo. They've basically said what it will be, when it will be, all we're waiting on is cost and the ability to order it.

Actually, we have an estimate on cost. Jarred posted that it will likely be similar in cost to the Rear-SSD module.

I know...it was shown at NAB 2012...we're now approaching NAB 2013 and it still not out... :-/

Guys.. we were told its coming out in February. Its only the first week.

And still on track....

:hurray: - looking forward to the 28th

My project is delayed, so now I can asses +1 vs pro I/O... (in a calm fashion - LOL) - without the urgency of an upcoming shoot.

And still on track....

If you need someone to test it I'm going to be having a running car footage shoot on Epic coming up in some pretty extreme conditions... would love a prototype to play with for the week.

I still really don't like how it blocks the HDMI... If there would be an option for a passthrough or another version which would use the SDI I might be a little more interested in it. Sure - I can always get an SDI to HDMI converter for that purpose but it means more cables, more power-draw and so on... It's just a comment on what I'm thinking -> RED always states to give us (nearly) all options -> but with this one; not really (ok, more options - I have to admit that - but not all options)...

Ok, I can go the Pro I/O route -> but with that "pice" I'm about at the length and bulkiness of the RED ONE...

IMHO they chose the right port. I would much rather have the gold standard hd/sdi available... HDMI is a last resort. It's perfect the way it's been eaten up by the +1... The draw on the converter isn't that bad. RED has given us so much control at a killer price. I for one think it's amazing.

I'm having problems with this new equipment. I've done all up grades needed to be compatible with this new equipment (+1 monito adaptor) and it is still not working. You have any suggestions of what to do to be able to function!

Sorry, but we need a little more information. What have you tried, what are you expecting, and what exactly isn't working?

Alternative to the Module Adaptor that includes an additional RED monitor port plus an Auxiliary power out port.

Come see it in our booth. Shipping in the summer.
damn you guys, why do you always have to have the last word... do you know how stupid my remarks look now because of that ;)

...but as long as it leads to an positive end I don't mind :p

True... but I would have much preferred a "soft" HDMI connector that enabled the possibility to simply disconnect it to give another use to the HDMI port, without having to disassemble the whole module!

Can you attach the DSCM Tactical BackPack Plate to this?
