Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Posting this here rather than eBay because I believe it is the wide angle converter Chris Probst uses with his Kowa anamorphic set. With the 40mm, to make a 32mm. (It is a 0.8X adapter.)
Although I think he had an additional 72mm to 71mm adapter machined.
This is originally for one of Canon's...
Selling my Scoopic MN, sorry to see it go.
In great shape EXCEPT that the light seals could use replacing (I have seen light leaks under bright sun, but nothing too bad) and the viewfinder window is VERY HAZY. I will post a separate picture so you can see what I'm talking about. Regardless...
Underrated lens set. Similar coatings to Kowa Cine-Prominars. Beautiful flares. Sharper than expected. 19mm f3.5 is a sleeper, better than other brands from this era except perhaps Leica.
All in very good to excellent condition. Great optically. 85mm f1.8 has been serviced recently but shows...
I poured like $4000+ into this lens and don't need it. Sent it to the late Bernie at Super16 as well as others to repair a stiff focusing ring.
After many repairs, it works well but the focus rings seems a bit farther forward (though it focuses correctly) than my other Iscorama. Smooth focus...
I believe this is what Chris Probst uses on the 40mm Kowa to convert it to a 32mm Kowa. Not 100% sure.
In very good condition, threads on the rear are machined down
$150 ship (due to cost of modification).
Also works on a 24mm FD L or something but don't damage your lens! I broke a 20mm f3.5...
I was looking for a Scoopic wide angle converter and bought two of these:
https://elokuvakonepaja.com/product/canon-macro-wide-angle-x0-75-o80mm-2/
It turns out, it's not the same thing. It's for 80mm ø lenses, not 75mm.
Curious if anyone knows what this is and if it's useful for anything...
Was inspired by another thread here about a Nikon to PL adapter – I have a Sony/Minolta 35mm f1.4 Alpha Minolta lens and want to use it alongside some FD lenses.
I know that an adapter between the two is impossible, although the older Minolta lenses can be converted (sort of) with a 3D printed...
Hi, I am looking to complete a set of FD L super speed primes (24mm FD L, 50mm FD L, 85mm FD L) to approximate a set of K35s.
I am mounting these on an FD mount and require S35 coverage only.
I have a 35mm f1.4 AF Sony/Minolta that apparently is used for the FD-X as a close replacement for the...
Dumb poll, I thought it might be fun, though. Reveals more about the person than the gear.
The 35mm f2.0 SSC concave is mine. Wide open on full frame.
On the prowl for a new F1 simply to justify its use.
Are any of these not terrible?
Looking for a 0.7X adapter with 52mm threads for a 24mm f2.0 Nikon (only need S35 coverage) and 24mm f1.4 FD L (only need S35 coverage).
Or what about combining an Aspheron with a macro tube?
Looking at the 70-210mm Vivitar, but if I had the money something a little longer.
I've read most M42 lenses are too wide, but I would love to find a longer zoom that has a vintage look (1970s feel or earlier) and is cheap.
Looking for an alternative to an 18mm K35 basically. Have a (non-rehoused, so 72mm front threads) 24mm FD L but I would like to shoot wider sometimes.
Anyone know what Canon put on the 24mm K35 design to get the 18mm K35 (some sort of bespoke Aspheron or the same element as in the Scoopic Wide...
I noticed the Rokinon's optical design is pretty close to a K35 or Minolta with a few elements added in.
What would happen if I just removed a few elements?

Recently serviced and not used since. Includes a few different plates. Really smooth tripod, but I need a larger one for my camera (Arri Alexa Plus and 300mm f2.0 Nikon).
$700 plus shipping. Good deal I think.
Panasonic EVA1 with 2X 64GB V90 SD Cards, 2X batteries, loupe:
I bought this used and never really used it. I love the image from it. Not sure how many hours on it, but probably under 200. Missing the monitor shade, but I replaced it with a Kinotehnik loupe that cuts of the edge of the screen...
Beautiful tiny lens in great shape with a nice conversion. Mounts on Alexa despite wide mount. The FL lenses have golden coatings similar to Kowa Cine-Prominars. Very compact. Nice lens.
