Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Just wrapped a 11 day shoot in Colombia where we swapped OLPF's (STH and LLO) almost twice a day. Documentary style commercial shoot with only a Flex LED light for interiors.
For anyone wondering which OLPF to get, the answer is both. The 5 minutes it took us to change OLPF's was totally worth...
I recently finished editing a mini-documentary I shot this summer about a man in Nepal who is working to fight poverty and human trafficking in his village.
This was a pretty rough shoot for me, mentally and physically. The subject matter was fairly heavy and important, so it was a lot to take...
Anybody have problems with static lines on frames of your exports?
I've attached an example.
I'm currently working on Premiere CC, with a 4K timeline and exporting to Quicktime 1080p H264. I've done about 10 exports so far, and they have been on every single one at some point - usually only...
Just wanted to share the trailer for the documentary I recently DP'd and edited, Ola.

The film is making its world premiere at the Hawai'i...

I got my BT scarlet last week. Went out and shot and edited this over 2 days. Let me know what you think.
I'm still new to everything RED, so still working out workflow/shooting style.
Has anybody done any freelensing or lens whacking with their RED?
I do it all the time with my 5D and DSLRs, just not sure if it would be safe with the RED sensor. Or even if RED allows you to record without a lens attached.
Thoughts?

Hi All -
I will be traveling to Africa in December and was wondering what advice you would have for taking my Scarlet kit. This will not be a work related trip, purely tourism/vacation - I just thought I'd bring along my new RED, along with my DSLR to get some footage.
My setup is pretty...
