Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
I've been looking for a proper EVF solution for my Epic Dragon for a while now. I thought I had finally found a solution with the SmallHD 502 and Sidefinder combination, but I've determined it's not quite cutting it. The monitor is really fantastic; I love all the focus and exposure assist...

Just got mine a couple days ago and I'm really impressed with this product. Love the build quality, the simplicity, the remote and the LUT capabilities. I highly recommend it!
Hey All,
Recently shot and edited a piece for the apparel brand '47, who was the main sponsor of the Boston Calling Music Festival this year. Lot's of great bands played the festival including Pixies, Tenacious D, Run the Jewels, and Beck to name a few.
One man banded this shoot on my Epic...
I just pulled the trigger on a maxed out 15" MacBook Pro to edit Red Epic Dragon 6K footage natively in Premier CC. I'd like to edit on 1TB SSDs over Thunderbolt. What would be my best set up if speed and portability is important?
I was thinking about buying the HighPoint RocketStor...
I was recently hired to produce a series of Instagram videos for Lavazza Coffee. Part of the promos required me to shoot stop motion like recipe videos featuring lots of clear glasses and liquids and hands coming into frame and adding/removing items. I decided to shoot the objects on...

A filmmaking friend and I have an office/studio space in Bedstuy, Brooklyn and we are looking for a few more people to join us beginning June 1. If you or anyone you know are interested, please get in touch with me directly.
Here is the Craigslist posting for more information...
I'm in need of a space in Brooklyn, NY for a one day shoot (3/13) that could be dressed to look like this:
Have any NYC based filmmakers shot in a space like this before? Would any soundstages have a backroom or basement that fits the description? If anyone has any ideas for me I would...
A few of us are going to be doing some informal camera tests tomorrow night (Saturday 2/28) at my office in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. Going to look at low light vs STH OLPFs on Dragon, as well as various lenses (spherical vs anamorphics). We'll have a couple of models there to photograph from 1-3pm...
Hi,
We are offering up a desk space to rent at our office in Bedstuy, Brooklyn beginning on March 1st. You would be sharing the 600 square foot room (with a 14' ceiling) with 5 other professionals who work in film production (1 woman, 4 guys). The reality, though, is we are rarely ever there at...
Some test shots taken of friends and family during the winter of 2015 in Newburyport, MA. Shot on Red Epic Dragon (w/ STH OLPF) at 6K with Lomo Anamorphic Square Fronts. Edited and graded in Premiere CC on a 2011 MacBook Pro using a firewire 800 speed drive (not exactly an ideal post workflow...
I'm having a little trouble understanding how the Gio Scope Tool compares to The Zone System: http://www.normankoren.com/zonesystem.html
Specifically, why is middle grey mapped to stop 11 as opposed to dead center on the scale (8.5)? This implies that there are only 5 stops available above...
