Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
The last group buy is nearly over. Our ProLine steadicam rigs are getting finalized these weeks.
So it's time for a new group buy. This time let's get a nice slider / mini dolly. I'll share here on my blog, like the last time, all the information about the different offers and especially...
Hi,
I consider rehousing my Nikon AIs set or getting a rehoused set of Leica lenses. And after successfully organizing the group buy of the ProLine T2000 steadicam here on reduser, I thought about making an other group buy for lenses, if there's enough interest.
I though about rehousing the...
I started a thread some weeks ago about a group buy of the Chinese Laing M02.
A lot of things happened, and the group buy for the Laing is still on (more or less), but there's also a different offer for a more professional system. Have a look at the thread, my blog or contact me via pm, if you...
My short film, which I produced and directed for stage5 and Continuum, got published today. The film's executive producers are Mark Kern and Cindi Rice. Mark posted some months ago here on reduser about his ambitious project of funding short films (check out the thread).
Nowadays, views on...
FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: THERE IS NO HURRY!
Before you select an option, please read all the information on the other two threads and on my blog which I created for this group buy. If you're interested in participating in this group buy and are not yet on the list of potential buyers, send...
I opened two weeks ago a thread for a group buy of a Chinese steadicam (English website of a reseller), hoping to find 10 other interested buyers to get a better price. Now there are already 100+ interested buyers and we got quotes from many different manufacturers.
Since the system had some...
I posted in two threads about the idea to make a group purchase of this Chinese steadycam system.
Update #1: The reseller CAME of LAING products sent me an email that as long as we purchase 10 or more units, it's USD1495/pcs including shipment to every buyer (excluding Africa and Southern...
My colleague was working the last days on a nice addition to our equipment list...
It's based on a Freefly Cinestar 8 frame and a Freefly Radian and gimbal system.
If you plan on building one yourself or if you're interested in more details, send me a pm.
The octocopter will be available...
I'm member of a filmclub which is run by students and former students of the University of Freiburg, Germany.
We're looking for the best projector suiting our needs:
DCI conform
10m / 33ft * 2.4m / 8ft screen (wall painted with special cinema white color -> low gain). We might buy a sliver...
Anyone knows this company? Just saw their products in a German online shop. Pretty expensive and look very much like RED accessories.

I'm shooting a short film in November in Prague. I need for one shot an octocopter and an operator.
Does someone know a good op there? Also, I can't pay 3k€. It's not a no budget film, but my funds are very limited (<1.2k€ for the day).
Any help is very much appreciated!
Just saw on imdb.com a trailer for Tai Chi O. Other than that the film seems to be amazing (kung-fu and steam punk), it also looked great. Turns out that it was shot on EPIC and RED One MX (would have guessed that it was shot on film) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1981080/technical
I'm having a problem with my 180mm AIs lens. I bought a gear ring from Jerry at JBK cinequipt
Unfortunately, I didn't check before ordering if it's possible to remove the sunshade of the 180mm Nikon lens, since it has a slightly larger diameter than the focus ring, so that the gear ring won't...
Just got today my RTmotion mk3 remote follow focus.
The build quality seems to be very good and the design works for me. Unfortunately, I totally forgot to order a Canon LP-E6 battery which is needed to power the controller. As soon as it arrives, I'll post a review with some some photos.
Has...
Did RED publish somewhere the dimensions of the RED EPIC mount system and the distance to the sensor? If someone has them... could you please send them to me?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

A friend asked to me to shoot a short he wrote later this year. Because of the film's topic, an anamorphic look (distortion and flares) would help the story. Since it's a no budget short, rental of Hawks is not an option, and I'm not such a fan of Lomo lenses. I'm sure that there are great Lomo...
I've bought nearly everything one needs to shoot with a Scarlet / EPIC, expect the Scarlet, since my funds aren't endless. For now, I'm using a hacked GH2 (clean 1080p, but of course no match for RED's cameras).
If you want to rent any of the following equipment, just send me a pm or an email...
Hi,
I wanted to move away from Resolve on OSX hackintosh and use the Windows version. I installed v8.3 beta and everything seems to work normaly apart from the speed. Clips where I get real time speed on OSX play back only with 9fps.
Here's my config (same as in Luigi's hackintosh thread)...
