Red Day in Vegas was so awesome. Thank you everyone who put this on. Having the event for 12hrs was so cool. I hung out for the entire 12 hrs and it was well worth my time. Definitely the coolest part was Jim, Jarred and Ted walking around with working Epic cameras for the entire day personally explaining the camera to people.

was great to see everyone.. thanks coming.

Jarred was a pleasure to see you again, what an event!!

Nobody has said anything about Ketch's tiramisu... I'm disappointed.

No one has talked about because there was NONE!!:frown:

I literally Ditched the Doctor's office early morning, and drove to Vegas at about 9am, because I decided that this was not going to be the first even I would miss, and I'm very happy I didn't!!

Hi,

I got a chance to speak with Ketch briefly tonight.

While I miss his culinary flair, he's working on bigger things...

But I'm not going to spoil the surprise.

Steve

Hey Stephen, a pleasure chatting with you.

Yes something seriously "BIG" is coming and I truly appreciate you keeping the info shared, private.. for now :~).

Quoting a fellow Scarletuser:

Yeah, besides showing that a prototype EPIC was working and outputting a signal to a small monitor....what else was shown? I was expecting some "big" announcements with 4K, RED 4K (RAY), 100 FPS, etc...

Instead, all I see is some footage of people holding a brain that they've been told is the EPIC.

Did anything else happen beyond that? What exactly was the event? Did Ted and Jim talk? What did they talk about?

Did they show something that wasn't revealed online?

I guess they couldn't hold themselves... :biggrin5:

No video was allowed, but I got special permission from Jim...so the online people are very lucky to actually see the working EPIC. There were other presentations, as well as a theater where they showed us multiple EPIC's working in a kind of studio environment in low light (no pics even allowed because there were some top secret products inside). You gotta see if you can open Big Jon's lips on that one.

And no one wrote a story on that?

Seems like you guys are on NDAs!

Scary!

As best I could tell, there weren't any new news on Wed, that had all been done already online, which was weird because I thought they were saving a "bombshell" announcement. But that's fine with me, I still had an awesome time.

Just hoping to get the word out. I had our Canon charger and batter taken from the Reduser event in Vegas. It was charging at the Assimilate booth.
If anyone knows anything, we'd love to have that back.

Thanks,

Great Time at Red Day

Great Time at Red Day

I, along with my wonderful wife and 18 month old son (I believe he was the youngest reduser in attendance), had a great time and were very impressed with all of the professionalism of the RED staff and all those in attendance. My highlights for the day were:
- Being there with my wife and son
- Watching all the RED presentation footage in 4K
- Witnessing the great live setup for the EPIC demo
- Seeing the Scarlet and all the great gear on display
- The food was great as well
We capped off a two week long road trip from San Antonio, TX through most of California then stopped in Vegas on the way back home to Texas. We drove over 4000 miles total for the trip, and it was awesome. Here are some pics from the event. Thank you once again.

That picture of you and your son next to the case is great. So cool that you came with your family.

Thanks Steve. When you said all ages welcome, I thought it would be great to take my wonderful, supportive wife and my little reduser with me. You did a great job getting the whole event put together. It was also really cool to meet Jim, Jarred, Ted, ect. My wife and I also had a great time sitting down and shooting the breeze with Graeme and sharing photos of our kidos. Great event. You should be proud of your accomplishment.
