  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

VFS Inclino, Imperio, Origo News ??

I finally ordered my VF system- despite the bugs reported here, it,s still an impressive system and I am sure it will all get ironed out.

It,s kind of like going to the store to get milk and there is a really long line at the checkout. Not only that, but the cashier's light is blinking because something is wrong.
But, I really need milk and this place has got the best milk and also the best deal.
Maybe I can read some magazines while I wait...
 
I find the defense of Curt rather amusing. The fact of the matter is that we were all sold something that didn't really exist and a year later it's getting old. This is not how you run a business.
 
I guess I'm always the bad guy here because I post stuff that isn't just glowing praise, but can people stop posting about how great and impressive something is without actually seeing or using it? Right now the system is far from impressive. Hopefully it can be worked out, but it's going to take more than a firmware update to fix some of the issues.
 
Honestly I still trust in VF, but I just would like to have news and answers when I mail them...I hope its because "no news is good news" and they are working hard on getting it perfect, and soon delivered.

No replay or acknowledging from VFs... is rude.
Guess it's time to ask REFUND.
Will buy it when it's ready.

There is no refund. Your money was invested in the R&D of the impero inclino and the rest. Now it is time for wait and "pray"/
 
I don't believe that to be true. Curt has stated many times that if anyone would like to bow out and get their money back it would be fully refunded. In fact there have been a few who have done so.

Funny. Isn't that what RED and the first 1000 of us did?

Whatever - when Curt gets his products out the door no one will be saying anything other than thank you Curt.
 
Shawn, perhaps the difference is that Jim and his crew were always on the board here to discuss the RED with all its advantages as well as its shortcomings. I don't ever remember any radio silence on their part. Sometimes it has been hard to know exactly where this Impero/Inclino FF was headed....

Unfortunately, what Lee says is true. Regardless of how much I personally am rooting for Curt to deliver what may turn out to be a tremendously useful device, telling your clients that it'll be just 2 more weeks for months on end can leave them being very extremely frustrated, especially if they've already paid!

I hope you're right Marc. Because his controller and your smart mount seem like a breakthrough convergence of still and motion picture technology. What I'm mainly saying is that it's not ready right now. I know, I just used it. There is no point letting your emotions get the best of you and pushing to get something now, because it's simply not ready.

I hope not a lot of customers taking their money out of this company. In this thread there is sometimes an atmosphere like on a stock exchange. Suddenly everybody is starting to freak out and tries to sell their shares. It wouldn´t be the first company who is destroyed because of this kind of run short before their breakthrough.
So, please, let´s all keep a professional look on the endresult. And wait a bit longer.

I was never informed that I was investing in a start-up company that didn't have a product anywhere near hitting the market. If that were the case, I would have looked for something that was actually available and reay to ship.

Wait a bit longer.....that's all I hear.

If I were Curt, I would be responding to this thread along with their own email, neither of which they do on a reasonable basis.
 
Option 1: Get refund, get over it and move on to other options.

Option 2: Get refund, do whatever the hell you want, then buy the unit when it is out and running smoothly.

Option 3: Wait.........................and wait some more...................then get the unit...............but when it happens it happens.

Agreed that it hasn't been a great ride, but these are the options quite frankly. And really, planning/budgeting or similar around something you don't have is just plain stupid:head_explode:
 
Hey Curt...or anyone at VF.

23rd March, 3.5 weeks till delivery...now it's roundabout 5 weeks...any chance of an update on what's going on and where we are at?

I second that...
 
Yeah, I would like to know some updates as well. I got a feature film shoot soon and would want to know if I have to wait much longer so I can arrange to rent a replacement. I agree with other people about the long wait. If I have known last summer that I had to wait more than 6 months, I would never have ordered this product. I know they are trying hard, but this is getting really, really ridiculous...
