  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

And it's the sexiest thing outside of the female body I have EVERY seen.

The primes and zoom look like they would cost 10x what they will, this stuff is BAD ASS, huge, beefy, really smooth, sharp, but best of all, they LOOK like a Cooke s4 with a better design...take your little Arri primes and toss em..this is a MASSIVE dose of badassness they are about to explode on us all!!!
wow, can't wait!

Location seen and touched:
Hollywood at the Adobe/Red Event at the Roosevelt Hotel ion the hands of Jim and crew last week on an Epic..or was that a Scarlet?

good god, you think your R1 is cool........:help:

sorry man, I was getting ready to speak and did not even think to take pics...:(

More info!!! Feed me, Obin! Feed me! Any hints on just how soon this badassness may explode on us all?

You are talking about the red primes correct? Have they added an 18mm yet because with out that they are useless to me. Probably 75% of the red footage I shot today was shot on an 18. Even 20mm wouldn't be too bad but a 25mm as your widest is worthless.

Is there a wide angle in the set?

indeed zak. there will be more than just new RED lenses at NAB. and i think some will have stock. enough to meet demand? unlikely, but it sure will be interesting to see what happens to the glass market in the next few years......the days of old zeiss lenses continuously going up and up in price are pretty much over......IMO

How do you pre-order these? They aren't listed in the red/store....

I pre-ordered my set 2 years ago... (NAB '07) :ninja:

RED is not taking orders on them now, haven't for a while because they didn't know how, what, where, when, etc.. regarding their actual availability.

Jeff.. It could be me, but this sentence sounds pretty gross..

Haha... I guess it does.

We expect to have some glass available for sale at NAB. If not for delivery right away then within weeks after the show.

And who says the RED One's Super-35 sized sensor is the only one you'll see glass for...
