  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

saw my first images through a red yesterday. It's awesome. Having something to work with while waiting on the birger mount goes a long way towards reducing the tension level.
 
It looks to me like neither Birger nor View Factor are going to be able to help us with our feature film. We'll be done shooting by about September 15th, and so it happens that an entire summer will have passed in which I was all but certain that one of these two products would have been able to help us. And that was as recently as May!

I will no doubt end up buying one or both of them, but I can't tell you how disappointed I am to have had both of them fall through on us this summer. The only folks who really came through for us as expected (or better than expected) were RED, Redrock, and TAI Audio in Orlando (we managed to land the very first Sound Devices 788T in the country through them).

Thanks for the news Erik,

I just got my EVF is shipping email. Redrock mattebox is almost here and now Birger is in the mail to Red. Sensory overload. I'll be steady...it could all be a dream.
 
so. Ideally Jarred and the beautiful people at RED will receive the package tomorrow. gracefully put it on... play around all weekend.... maybe post some pics on Sunday, and by Monday we should have a RED/Birger hand shake. Is this an ok plan for everyone? Please let me know how I can help make this a reality.
