That was a nice cameo by Jarred. Reminds me of the teases made on RU in the past.

If they can expand on the utility camera concept with:

- similar weight and size
- Built in NDs (its that time to make this standard for RED cameras)
- CF Express type B (though that's likely a given)
- more complete frame rates (at least 4K at 120 preferably higher)
- enhanced AF capabilities (not like the existing tech in Komodo has been fully used)
- better audio via an expansion module (mini xlr, 4 inputs, ability to bypass the internal mics to free up channels for external mics).
- 6K s35 is fine by me. If extra DR can be squeezed out all the better. Global shutter is great but not a required feature.
If RED made a lower light capable sensor with larger pixels like Gemini that would be exceptional.

- Stronger wifi support. The wifi, wireless video, RED Control/Pro combo is the Komodo's secret weapon.
Truly changes how one interfaces with a camera. Please make this rock solid.

I'm sure there's other things but this is what I would be happy to see.

Special mention for a camera that caters to the doc/one man band/ micro crew crowd.
If Komodo was inspired by Mamiya how about a small doc camera inspired by Aaton?
The type that fits the needs of a shooter that needs to run and gun, move fast, and can't afford an audio guy
with multiple audio inputs.

An ultra compact rig with superior handheld ergonomics. A camera that can actually be made comfortable to shoulder mount, that might get
RED into the C300, FX6, FX9 territory that made those cameras huge sellers in the doc area.

Whatever is produced, I look forward to getting future REDs that fit these needs.

While I do believe another Komodo is comming I don't see it happening this year. Everyone is acting like its happening tomorrow lol. I believe we are in very early "idea" phase but who knows Jarred did say there were going to start keeping a tight lip on new cameras.
