IBC RED WMD - Be on the look out

I'm guessing, and this is really a guess as I haven't seen this thing in person yet, but it would appear based off that shiny silver bit that this attaches to the DSMC Tactical Cage via a Red Rosette and perhaps other things.

This is actually pretty cool because that may mean you can mount it to anywhere via the Red Rosette. For instance.... Like the opposite side of the lens where the motors are via the 19mm Rod to Rosette Bracket or even perhaps a SWAT Rail via the SWAT Rail Clamp.

Just making some observations and thinking about how to rig it out.

The price is around $14000 for the Module, Receiver and 3 motors. The Digi Motors are $1250 apiece.

Sorry phil,

got stuck at nan's gl optics, bandpro (paralinx) and Schneider.. But looks as if plenty others made It back to red to get you some pictures (-;

actually i think i spent 95% of my time in hall 11 And still haven't seen all there is to see there. Crazy.

WMD and THC? You guys are cracking me up.

They do definitely look very cool, looking forward to test them out, the THC form ET we got with our Atom rig was nice, but not great, (first generation mind you) but this look beefier and better built, I most certainly also expect better electronic responsiveness, precision, and range.

The RED W.M.D. is rad for sure, I hope that they are different length cables, and different colors too, I like my rigs to be as clean as possible, and color is part of that... ;)

Don't know which version you used Ketch, but the responsiveness to the one they had at NAB 2013 was pretty snappy on that Optimo. Really liked that.

I'm hoping this still is branded as ET. Just to keep it camera agnostic, since it'd be nice to take it out on jobs not just using the Epic.

Hopefully they'll hit their mid/late-October estimate now. I have to be pestering Liz @ Abel almost daily at this point, "are we there yet?!"
