Wow, nice work. I'm curious to see how well the footage from the 80-200 matches the RPZ 18-85. At that price point, it could be a great complimentary lens.

Well, if another manufacturer wants to make a competing $2800 zoom with superior optical performance, they are welcome to do so!
That said... can you name a currently-manufactured 80-200 2.8 lens whose optical performance is so bad that it would actually be distracting to an audience?
The optical quality of the current Canon and Nikon 80-200 2.8 lenses is plenty good for me. Breathing on some models is a little bit of a bother but if the worst thing about the film I make is breathing in some of the shots... that's good enough for me!

Thanks for everyone's interests.
The zoom lens is based on Nikon 80-200. As you can see, the housing is to add gear focus scale, it is 95mm outer diameter and 77mm thread in front of the lens. The housing design is tight, and prevent dirt. I designed it for compact to be light-weight, and low price. So it's structure isn't changed. That means focus and zoom direction still be Nikon type.
But I changed lens direction to let it be able to hold focus through zoom.
The prime lens is totally different. Not like other rehousing lenses in the market, it is a completely reconstructed lens like Zeiss CP lens. It is based on Sigma 50mm F1.4, I only keep the glasses, and build other parts. It has 330 degree focus throw. I keep the compact idea. This lens size is like UP. Making this lens, is for proving we have ability to construct a lens except the glass.
There are more lenses will be made by this method. This is not an easy work, but I will insist to do it this way.
Thanks Tom. What stage are you with the other prime lenses? Will they also be from using Sigmas?
Tom,
Do you have any plans to rehouse a Nikon 17-35 f/2.8 lens?
and the 14-24 like the ruby!
