  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WOW !!!!!! were did this come from !

What the what! That looks incredible. Never heard of the book (just did a search on the assumption it was one - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_Atlas_(novel)) - usually there seems to be more buzz before a movie adaptation happens... but maybe I'm just out of touch.

Love Twyker and can't wait for this. But have to say, that Director's Commentary was terrible. Can we let someone finish a sentence?

Lets just say they are no longer brothers... just siblings now...

oh...OHHHHH....a bit of wikipedia reading does wonders sometimes "after Speed Racer Larry completed sexual reassignment surgery and became Lana"

Gotcha !!!

sorry Im not into all this celebrity gossip stuff lol, should read Variety more often i guess.

As ever, looks like great filmmaking. Some old "why are we here, what's it all about, do I matter?" ideas being presented here. Let's hope it's filled with
some strong resonant ideas. Actually, the trailer seems a little too sappy for me.

Looks very ambitious, can be a masterpiece or a complete disaster. A movie definitely done by bold filmmakers. I respect that and will probably see it. But its an incredible feat if they pull this off without being pretentious or confusing in the final outcome of the film. So far I've enjoyed most of their films, so am looking forward to see this. THe release date also reveals a certain confidence on this being Oscar material... Let's wait and see...

Ah I see. Now that we all know the answers to these boring questions, we should only make movies about more relevant questions, like what David? How to survive in a broken econony? How to throw a party with 3000 people? Personally, I think deep questions are timeless and always hold power when presented well.
Sorry, I'm hoping to not come off as condecending...your post just kind of made me laugh and invoked my inner snark.

I've read Cloud Atlas and am very curious to see what these good filmmakers can do with its complexities. I thought the trailer was fantastic.
