Why power cable? :-)

doing some testing, making sure batteries are not discharging while el pac is connected.

also, i have a shoot tomorrow and i do not want to have to recharge all of the redvolts just because i was playing with them tonight.

looks kool

wonder how long it's going to take to get mine?

Dino, thank you for sharing these photos! How does the balance feel with all 4 redvolts?

OK, Dino. Thanks for photos. It's great.

Quick questions for the RED team:

1. How much does the module weigh with batteries?
2. How are the batteries secure, can they accidentally pop out? It seems the module has some sort of locking mechanism.
3. How does their combined performance compare with those of established brands (IDX, etc.)
4. Are you developing a fast charger for the redvolts? Currently to charge a single battery takes 1h45m.

Thanks
Antonio

have not kitted it out yet with lens and so forth, i will do that now

ok preparing for a LMFAO video tomorrow that has a 5pm call time...

here is the rig with a spinner evf mount, the quad battery with 4 RV in it, on the clutch.

there is no one here to help me nor do i have a mirror i just thru this thing up to see how it balanced and it was great, could wear it like this all day.

hope this helps.

i dont have a scale here at my office, but the module itself is pretty light a would say, one or two pounds at most.

the batteries are very secure, there is a locking mech that holds them in place and requires you to push a button to get them out.

3. How does their combined performance compare with those of established brands (IDX, etc.) -
no clue.

4. Are you developing a fast charger for the redvolts? Currently to charge a single battery takes 1h45m.
- am I dev a charger?....not a chance, i leave all of this stuff to red, and the other after market folks...i gather bytes and make them safe, then pretty then small and then give them to the person that paid me to show up.

Dino, those pics are probably the best endorsement for the clutch I've seen. I'm seriously considering it because of your pictures! It just feels comfortable, versatile and not a big provider of shoulder strain. I have an injury due to heavy lifting things on the shoulder and have been hesitant to use any shoulder support because of this. The clutch seems to balance the weight to other parts of the body, or at least to provide extra support which is greg for long form shooting and for focusing and doing other tasks!

I love the amount of free real estate on top of the battery module. Should allow for mounting a bunch more crap to the body :)

now all you need is the pro recording module with 4 256 ssd card slots and you'll be ready for concert shooting :)

Dino, If you have a moment, Please post the length of the camera from the tip of the PL cap to the end of the Quad Battery Module I'm designing a case that will hold the camera built. I'll add in the redmote or the APU, etc.

Thanks for posting!

Add the I/O module and the proxy module and you're ready to shoot the next installment of "The Human Centipede".
