Hi all,

Can anyone please tell me if this AB adaptor would work with this mount?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/27082248809...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1180
I have a couple AB batteries but not enough and I'd rather buy Red Bricks than more AB batteries. So I'd like to use both.

thanks,
pete

Interesting! If it does, it allows for versatility in power options. Also, it would move the battery a little further back, to avoid touching the red top handle. 1 concern would be if that adapter plate is strong enough to support a bigger AB brick without putting too much strain on the VF APU plate connections.

I'm hesitating between those two options :
- IDX Endura E-10S (93 Wh)
2 batteries + charger (1048$) + Brook's APU plate (699$) = 1747$
Change battery at every 90 minutes, but adds weight and bulk to the camera.
OR
- 6 REDVolt (30Wh each) + Quad Charger = 1630$ (I already have the Side handle to control the camera)
Change battery at every 30 minutes, but keeps the camera lightweight.

What do you think?

IDX Elite - I have the touch screen LCD connected to it (brigthness at 3 steps up from lowest setting).

The battery lasted for 2 hours 18 mins , 1/2 hour the battery was spent shooting and the rest the camera was on standby with monitor on.

Get some red brick, the red volts to quick meant for inserts cutaways

Can RED bricks get on planes? I got the idx elites cause they can be disasemmbled into smaller batteries.

I don't wanna endorse anything other than Red bricks as they perform the best for everything, start up, time running etc. I have not had a problem checking them. If you have a shoot elsewhere, just rent them where you are going.

Right there with you Paul on batteries,

Anyone else have charging issues with VF? Not negative. My card was charged, they said they were waiting for parts, and for some reason the charge disappeared from my account...

How can I connect the APU v-mount plate to 19inch rails?

Best regards,
J.M.

That's not what it's for. The APU is made to connect directly to the rear of the Epic/Scarlet via the module connectors. There are other plates that mount on rails though. I believe Element Technica makes one?

Hey Curt, ordered 4 APUs and was informed they would likely ship on the 22nd of November...
However I've Yet to receive further corespondence...how soon should I expect shipment?
Thanks

The processing gateway will verify that the funds exist in your account and lock them up until the order is completed. It usually will say pending. Once the order ships it will bill your account and the funds will be captured and charged to your account. At any time you can call us and cancel the order and we can release the hold. Here's a overview from our friends at wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authorization_hold

Last week when we were running a batch of battery plates something went wrong with the CNC and the holes for the shoulder screws on the plates were not machined to proper dimensions. We had to re-machine a bunch of plates and then get them re-anodized. We think that some of those plates slipped through to several customers. They have been notified and we will be sending replacements. We will be resuming shipments on Tuesday and should have existing orders taken care of shortly.

Just checking. I have a rental for the fifth and wanted to be sure I had it by then.

That might not work.... there are no through holes on our plate, only threaded holes.

The ET 19mm Speedy Clamps DO in fact need through holes, so you're right Curt. They will not work with this battery plate.

Sorry for the confusion on my part.
