  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet preview...

Me too.

He, he, he,..

“oh ..it’s a camera…??”

It looks like something straight from the pages of Dr Zeuss…

As I always say, good design is no more expensive than really bad design.

That’s why people and talent actually matter.

Look forward to that.

Ta.

Yeah quality is key, but I don't care if that "hairdryer" from Canon was 100 K I wouldn't buy it as I'd be embarrassed to hold it.

Hey look at Joseph Hutson - he invested in an EPIC M and look what happened to him ... already traveling around the world, gaining invaluable experience and I think even being paid for it. Seems like a better investment than film school to me. Jarred says his early work has paid back a substantial percentage of his purchase price, too.

Of course he really did his homework and earned it all fair and square - but I think a lot of people looking at today's incredibly overpriced educations should give his path a look.

D

I kind of wish I chose a camera instead of film school, however I literally learned on celluloid film, so there was a learning curve for sure. Now we are almost at "what you see is what you get". I am still paying back student loans which easily could have bought me an EPIC. Got some valuable education and experience in film school and relationships, but one recommendation would be TheWorkshops.com which is a cert program with professional filmmakers and you really learn the trade. No degree with the seminar program but major studio execs and ASC cinematographers teach there.

Canon C300 aint no hairdryer looks similar in size to epic & form (endgadget)...specs who knows?

wow...i don't know if red should be angry or flattered that canon's new camera look curiously like red's. hmmm

Vincent Leforet, Polly Morgan, Richard Crudo and more are talking about the great signal to noise ratio, ability to shoot in natural light.
