Alchemy...

[Jannard]

I want to make you aware of a new control in REDCINE-X Professional called "Alchemy". It will be enabled in a future release of RCX-P.

It is a tool that is mandatory to know about. The version of RCX-P that includes Alchemy should be released very soon. When it is... try it. You'll like it.

[Kemalettin Sert]

sounds impressive waiting for it boss

[Andrew Huse]

Nov 3rd release?! It just keeps getting better!

[Alex Boothby]

Is Jarred gaging you again?

[Detlev Eller]

.... curious (!)

[Tim Whitcomb]

hmm, OK, alchemy is the mixing of chemicals or the distilling of compounds. all apt metaphors for RAW... but what the heck is it?

[Jannard]

Alchemy is a slider that turns lead into gold.

And, of course, it is free.

Jim

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Meh, it's just a 1/2 CTS filter.

[Shawn Nelson]

aaahhhhhh! you cant tell us about this without letting us try it!
(dangs head against desk in unfulfilled frustration)

[Roberto Lequeux]

Haha, must be pretty sweet to be called that. Looking forward to learning more about it.

The new RCX-P with Alchemy should be released 1st of next week. Magic stuff will continue to flow from Graeme's hand at no cost to RED users.

My guess is it's a new HDR-X mix function, with built in fluid motion option to mo-blur the X channel... or something.

[Scott Miller]

Does anyone else get that Jim conflicted? Evil, in teasing, yet beneficent to his loyal subjects?

[Andrew Salter]

Interesting! The dictionary definition is ... the medieval forerunner to chemistry, concerned particularly with attempts to convert common metals into gold.

Or more importantly :- a seemingly magical or mysterious process.

All revealed on the 3rd !

[Michael Millichamp]

Jim, ETA on the release?

Are you waiting til Nov. 3rd?

[Phil Holland]

It sounds colorful and vibrant

[Jannard]

REDCODE RAW is one of the most important things about RED. What you can do with RAW is extremely important. RAW tools will continue to grow.

Shooting an RGB codec locks you into a box. Don't do that. There are just too many advancements coming that limiting yourself just seems silly.

Alchemy is a tool for RAW that will make you rejoice why RAW matters.
