  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Brent old buddy, thread says "accessories." No limitation on scope of thread unless that's your desire. I would like to hear about the new lenses under development
 
i'm really excited...

and surprised it took a whole 7 pages for some kind of complaining to start. this constantly reminds me of the people of israel spoken of in the 'books of moses'... it's quite funny.

but i was kind of wondering what was happening on the NATO accessories end... i'm not sure i'm ready so soon to be blown away.

Most of what we are going to release over the next couple weeks is going to be Mechanical related.. NATO etc.
 
Haha, sorry. An old saying from the game 20 Questions. Just trying to pry more information ;)

i feel like that stuff has been lurking in the shadows... waiting.

in reality, matt's probably just been busting it with some incredibly cool stuff... i remember meeting him a couple years ago and talking to him about what he was aiming for. lots of cool ideas outta that guy.

however, i like the waiting in the shadows idea... sounds cooler.

Great to hear, love how easy to set up the sliding top mount, been wishing the EVF and LCD worked the same, srt up in 10 30 seconds including booting up time, from that sexy little pelican, and start shooting

Not much lurking, but waiting for sure.. mostly to solidify the design of the EPIC-X cameras. There are mechanical mounting points of the camera that have changed ( dont worry EPIC-M owners your cameras will be upgraded no-charge ) so some things we couldn't ( and can't ) release yet.

Ill tell you some of that on Wed.. some mechanical changes that you guys hopefully will do cartwheels over.
 
maybe lurking doesn't come across as the right word... i originally meant lurking such as some quiet, yet powerful beast waiting around the corner to be stumbled upon. :)

things are really rolling forward!

and jarred, i'll just say i'd sure love to see some space shuttles taking off... just the range of the image and the way the camera is already handling the transitions towards brighter values. you should throw that on vimeo or maybe just post a good still of the combustion process. that would be very well served alongside some sleek accessories.

Cool news. I like what Red's doing these days. Just little announcements like this, then quietly back to work.
 
Much as I love to play meccano with our Red accessories, a more integrated approach on the camera body would make lightweight easier to achieve. ie. Somewhere Red-built to hang my Spinner... Hope this is the kind of thought process you're hinting at.
 
Please sure me, that the new accessories would perfectly fit on Scarlet too! :)
