And What about Shipping? Do you know if I have to get it shipped to any adress or if I can just go and pick it up myself? Thanks!

I believe the 50mm CP is not the awesome 50 f/2 Macro, but the 50 f/1.4, just with the aperture artificially limited (for the reasons you mention).

Oh, I didn't notice/realize that. Thanks for pointing it out. Wonder if the 50 macro performs better at f/2 than the f/1.4 stopped down to f/2.

Yes, in every way I can think of. I've shot stills with both and owned the 50 Makro until I traded for something more practical. Technical reviews of both on Canon FF and Nikon FF and APS here: http://www.photozone.de/all-tests

I've read comments from some who think the 50 Makro is not at its best when focussed at infinity. If that's true (and it's not uncommon for macro lenses), I never noticed and I think you'd need to pixel peep or blow up a still with extremely fine detail to notice.

Uhn... Don`t know Fabrcio, I`m also from Brazil and i`m still trying to figure it out the best way to get it home... Any advice?

I'm really curious if Epic-S will support all the timelapse features Epix-X/M does/will support.

From what I have learned about the epic-s on here, it supposedly has all the features of the epic-x, the only limitation being the bandwidth, which is halved. (60fps? Or 30fps at 5k, I've heard different frame rates.) so features like hdrx and timelapse should be in the epic-s. Also in all scarlets(I think.).

From the first page:
My bet is 5K at 60fps at REDCODE 6:1. But I could be wrong...

Few Questions:
Does anyone know if the epic M will immediately have the canon mounts?

Will 15mm Rails be enough for the epic M?

Can I just drive to LA with money and pick one up? how does the purchasing/reserving work when I live drivable distance away?

No.
Yes.
No and anyone's guess is relevant.

I know the Canon mount is a bit more complex since they are making it electronically controlled. I'd really be fine with some "dumb" mount options for Nikon/Canon.

Also from Brazil and I'm gonna do it like I always do, fly to the US, stick it in my bag and fly back. Is there a risk ? Sure ! Is it worth it ? Definitely !
