Hi!

I have a shoot coming this weekend, and I want to go 5k 2.40 120fps.

I was planning on using a 90' shutter.
Redcode 10:1 (or 6:1) if that works.

Is there any best practice to avoid any errors in recording On the current build?

In my brief testing I've had no issues, but if anyone has had issues please pm
Me so I can be aware of what not to do.

Thank you!

Thanks Greg, I've spent time with the camera and done tests, just wanted to make sure there wasn't something I could do to eff it up... Like maybe run the fans too low or something.

I was thinking fans at 100% the whole time unless that is a bad practice...

Sorry, I didnt mean to imply you havent. I havent been able to do much wrong yet. Shoot the lowest redcode you can and cycle your media frequently and you shouldnt have any troubles

By lowest do you mean less compressed?

6:1?? Are you on a top secret 1.4.9 build?

No Greg, it's true, unless I'm doing something wrong. The lowest it allows me is 12:1. If anyone has done it, give a shout out.

I had a great shoot today. Our firmware only allowed for 12:1 at 5k/120fps.

I'm okay with that though. The footage looked great and I am looking forward to sharing it in the future.

No problems here, 5k@120 does eat hard drive space though :)

THANKS EVERYONE!

Hi Dan,

Go 45 degree shutter.... or 200th of a second to maintain the flicker the same as film would get at simalar speed rates, or you will end up with that lazy moiton feel.

Every doubles right... go to 50fps... thats 1/2 of 180Degrees... 90 degress.
100 is 45% degress...

Same goes with F stops and etc etc etc...

Happy shooting :)

Sorry if I didn't clarify -5K 2:40:1 120FPS at 3:1 compression in 1.4.9. Must be really brutal for people to tolerate!

96 FPS in Full frame and 2:1 is also enabled at the moment.
