  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Brook Willard's Epic Accessories...

Just got our FMJ plate. Took around a week give or take, which isnt bad at all considered were on the other side of the world!

Now just waiting for that FEDex notification that our M is shipping. ........

How is the battery plate design going Brook?
 
Larger battery options are great anyway. The run-times with the RED Bricks and similar are excellent. :)

Just saw this on Brook's wordpress... says shipping now, but viewfactor's website isn't showing it yet. In addition, what is it?
 
It's his version of a riser (bottom plate).
 
Details soon, folks. I've been a bit swamped with the NYC work for Spider-Man but parts are ready and going up on the website as I type this.

That's the bottom plate for the Epic. It lets you use the old ET baseplates [either Hybrid or original] from the RED One with your Epic. It also lets you mount lightweight [video] iris rod support on the front [bracket coming soon] and enables the use of the NATO sidearms which are on the CNC right now. :)

Will there be a different bottom plate needed for use with the Red quick release system?
 
Yes, there will be a different bottom plate designed to work with RED's DSMC QR baseplate. This plate is for those that either want a plate to enable the use of their R1 sliding baseplates or for those that want a lightweight way to attach iris rod support without using a complete sliding baseplate.
 
Curt made us a custom plate similar to this that works with Arri BP8 and BP9 plates. Gets the Arri spacing just right. So perfectly aligned that an MB14 just glides onto the front of the 24-290mm Optimo.

Bingo, John. :) There will be a separate version of this plate in the store designed to work with Arri BP-8 and BP-9 sliding baseplates. I'm anticipating less volume so they'll probably either be built-to-order or we'll just have a small stock of them standing by.
 
PERFECT Brook, I just got my Epic-M yesterday and have been scratching my head all day on how to achieve that, thinking I´d go to a local mechanical shop and have one custom-made, now with your emerging line of products, no need, I am ordering!

Is there really room for a logo on the bottom plate? If so, where?

Looking forward to the captured screws.
 
Any ETA on the bottom that fits the RED QR plate?
