The next parts on the list are the sidearms followed by the lightweight bracket. The DSMC version of the QR plate and then the non-connected [top only] sidearms will follow. There will be a few surprises thrown in there.

The sidearms and lightweight bracket should be done very quickly - more quickly than the time it took to get the bottom plate out. Fear not... I'm my first customer... I want this stuff as much as you guys do!

Here's a rubbish cell phone picture showing how the bottom plate interfaces with an ET Hybrid baseplate. One of the cool features of the bottom plate is that it has a tiny lip that reaches over the front of the camera ensuring that it is square to the body. It eliminates the slop inherent in 3/8-16 screws. Don't judge the rest of the camera build... it's not my doing.

Do you have a plan for a top cheese plate extension when the camera is in studio mode and has additional modules on it?

Yes, Peter. As soon as the modules are finalized I'll be making an extension that continues the same logic over the rear modules. The hole spacing will still match RED's, so if accessories are designed to bridge from the camera to module adapter or to a certain module you'll still be able to use those accessories on the top plate.

Been using Brook's top and bottom plate on my Spiderman unit here in NYC when we are shooting 2D and they are awesome.

Can't say enough good things about the top plate! I would absolutely say it's a must-have accessory for any Epic owner. Beautiful and functional design and looks right at home atop these cameras. All three of our top plates shipped out the same day we ordered them (even with the custom logo engraving)!
