  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE M-X Sensor Upgrade Program

Not sure if this directly answers your question Peter, but AFAIK, if you want your Red Rocket before paying for the M-X upgrade, you pay the full (not discounted) amount for the Rocket now and then, once your camera's ready, they credit you with the discount. That's how it worked for the Epic Stage 2/M-X upgrade discount.

I received the e-mail notification on Tuesday.

My question is really ...

Is it possible to use a credit card, currently on file with Red, to deposit funds into one's Red account for the M-X Upgrade/Red Rocket card package. I ask, because the M-X upgrade/Red Rocket package is not a selectable item that can be checked out in the traditional sense and paid for.

My best guess is that I will have to wait until Tuesday to contact John Restivo, the M-X Upgrade Program Coordinator.

No, M-X upgrade program is not online, all has to go through your assigned M-X upgrade coordinator. Yes, you can use a credit card on file to pay, once funds post to your RED account, you get your RMA number from your coordinator so you can send it in.

No, that is a bundle that has to be processed at once.

Wow, at this rate, all RED One's that want the MX upgrade will have it by the end of the year. Fantastic!

No worries, Brent. I sent emails to Nick yesterday. Waiting for his response. I just can't wait to shoot on my M-X :willy_nilly: Also please take a health check for my Red One.
 
Oh, any time a camera comes in - it goes through full inbound QC diagnostics. And goes through those same tests before we ship back to you :)

Hey RED MX TEAM - I have spent the day PM'ing, calling and emailing to try and get my RMA - and I keep getting no response from RED, from you, or from the gods to which I offer burnt offerings when praying my MX # would hurry up and get here. Well, its here and I have a very small window to get this out to you guys. Every day counts against me - so please pick up your phones and/or respond to your emails/ voice mails/ PM's.

I can't even get ahold of my designated RED guy. Help!

Here at KipperTie in South East England we are seriously pleased to have taken delivery of our freshly upgraded MX. Our ISO knob now goes to 11. :coolgleamA:

We've not dry hired too often in the past, but we will be making it available as a body only hire at a sensible rate as the MX is still a little hard to find in these parts.

Many thanks are due to John Restivo, with whose voicemail I'm now intimately acquainted, and to Alan back here at Red Europe for making the paperwork and process a non-issue. You guys know we don't like being without our baby, so good job fellas :cheers2:

Just a heads up... We are going into about a 4 week pause on the sensor upgrades, new sensor stock will roll in end of November.

This shortage will affect some people that just got the call for upgrade, your representative will let you know which side of the hump you are on.
