Sorry for asking again,as I hope someone can help, as I try to set up the zebra of Scarlet Dragon, but it seems that I can only observe the Zebra for 95%- 100%, but I can't observe any zebra in higher range like 99%-100%, so it may affects my correct exposure, is there any way change the Zebra range like 99%-100% ?

Thank you

Sherman,

Load the latest FW.

I am looking at it on my EPIC Dragon and I can see simply that I can set two different ZEBRA 1 98-100 IRE and ZEBRA 2 40-50 IRE

So I am having trouble understanding what the problem is and how this affects how you are exposing.

PS: and please. no more threads about this. If you have more questions post into this thread. ok.

thanks for the info, I can set like 98%-100% in Red Color 3, but when I change to the colour space on monitor as Raw, it seems I need to make the range like 91%- 100% , just wonder what's the difference and what's the concept behind this ?
For example, when using red one, I can use set like 99%-109% in a older firmware.

thanks

Hi Shermen,

Under Menu>Settings>Display>Zebra you can configure your custom Zebra range.

RAW View is the ISO 800 REDcolor2/REDlogFilm without a "standard" curve applied. It's net result is a very flat image. The general concept is to more or less see what "RAW" can see. Whereas one of the color spaces and video gamma curves will give you an accurate IRE relevance to a "normal" looking image to the 0-100% IRE range found in most post tools today. For instance, in Redcine-X Pro, your IRE will be spot on to the Video Check or Zebra Values. This is more of the debate between 100% or 109% being White or Super White. This is all more or less relative as IRE is itself a relative scale and you "map" to anything.
