  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

You are all Invited....

It is like Pizza. There's no other similar like in Italy...

Emanuel - You would be surprised at the pizzas You can get here in Japan. Some of the local chefs won regularly top awards IN ITALY. Same way there are some amazing sushi places in California...
Just saying... ;o)

Any recommended accommodations? Bellagio, Aria, MGM?

Luc, depending on what style you like (modern vs over the top luxury) and how much you want to spend I'd say Aria or The Cosmopolitan (right next to Aria in the City Center). They are both more modern but very nice. If you want to save some money try the Palms - off the strip but go for the rooms in the new tower or the Palms Place sister hotel. Sometimes Expedia runs sales and you can get better rates than direct through the hotel.

Cheers Tim, thanks for the info, Aria is more in my style and price bracket although the Palms is mighty tempting. Was checking out the Tropicana also. I was wondering if the party would take place there as seemed to be the case two years ago? I guess we should eventually be hearing from Michael about this?

For those considering travelling in from overseas: I made my first NAB last year and Im so glad I did. Its amazing to be able to put faces to Reduser profiles, Vimeo and twitter accounts. Unreal how many people you meet whilst youre there and the atmosphere was amazing. My only problem was that I flew in for 4 days and the time difference here is about 11 hours! Luckily Vegas doesnt seem to sleep!

If youre on the fence, just book it and you wont be disappointed!

Oh and southwest does deals for those of you connecting out of LAX. Got a nights stay at the MGM last year for free. Then a room "upgrade" (which somehow put me next to a spring break frat-party.....)

I hope that I can make it this year. Not totally sure if it's going to be possible, but I'd really like to check it out.

Another teasing.

If there are any young people struggling with whether or not NAB is worth spending a nice chunk of change to get there or not, I'd say most definitely YES!

NAB has been the best place to meet people, and I know I wouldn't be where I am today if I would have sat home and not met the good people at RED/REDuser in person. I strongly believe NAB 2010 and the RED Day at the Tropicana was a pivotal point in my career.

Get to NAB. No question about it...

Networking has never been easier than it is now, and NAB is the world cup of networking opportunities for us gear heads!

Get over there, people!

Can we expect an metallic RED ENG camera ;), laser projector, redray?

Again, I'm not getting to NAB (I'll be in Namibia during that time) but to all of you there wish you a great party.

And it should be a RED DRAGON party only otherwise it would't make so much sense because you can get party

in Vegas for whatever and whenever you want anyway...of course if you have enough money for it...
