  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Yo, ACs: Which cheap follow focus do I get for my non-cinema lenses

I haven't used the Fotga, but Domenic's right. V3 Shoot35 is super durable and reliable, best performance for the price. I've had zero backlash since the day I've received mine.

It may be a bit heavier than you're looking for, Matt, but I've been perfectly happy running and gunning with it. And in the long run, it's great to have a studio FF set up when I need it.

Okay, cool. It's sort of between this and a used FF-1 and the Fotga if I choose to spend nothing but I'm leaning toward this.

The "Lite" version fits my needs better, but if I'm renting, I figure my clients will prefer something more flexible. :/

The Fotga is REALLY impressive but build quality isn't incredible at all. Cheap components but really strong design. Great for $150, though. Like straight up amazing. But I wouldn't trust it on feature work, which is what this is mostly for so if it's holding up and there's no backlash, I'm sold...

...pending a rental coming through today...

+1 for the V3 Shoot35
