  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

"Yellow, Black and Blue" Shot on Scarlet.

beautiful. What lens was used?

Thomas there is a wonderful "softness" to the b/w shots, that matches the vintage sound of Marlene Dietrich. Did you add this in post? Or are you shooting through diffusion, or dare I say, even a stocking? I'm constantly interested in how people "soften" digital imagery, in particular RED which can be SO SO sharp.

Thanks!

I would also like to know what lens you used

What codec did you use for Vimeo?

Thanks guys! I am just doing a subtle variation on grading...a little less softness in fact as i think that some b/w shots need more definition...will keep the original project though... Shot at 30p 4k. Lens: Canon 100mm Macro f 2.8 IS USM. (Wonderful!) Software: Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5.2. All looks of the film were made with Magic Bullet Looks 2.1, altered presets. No stockings:)
Converted to ProRes 422 HQ in Premiere, then output in Final Cut Pro X to the standard H264. Vimeo did the rest.
I`ll let you know when the final version is online. Cheers, TK
