Is there any system either new or old that allows me to use my existing lenses such as MK III superspeeds on a bellow style or whatever as a tilt shift?

If so what is it and how do i get one?

I do know about the Arri tilt shift system with its own lenses and also the century system, but surely someone had made something.

I do understand i would lose several stops and the focus marks would be way out, but that wouldn't bother me.

thanks in advance

There are two problems with doing this that make it impossible. Putting a T/S bellows between a normal lens and the camera would make the lens into a macro. You wouldn't be able to focus beyond a few inches from the camera. The second problem is that image circle would not be big enough to cover the moves, so the edges of the frame would vignette with most every tilt or shift.

T?S lenses are designed with much wider image circles than normal (think medium format glass) and housings that allow them to reach infinity.

There are few options other than an Arri or Claremont system. As David mentioned, the Superspeeds are not going to have enough image circle to take advantage of a T/S system. You could consider a Nikon mount and the older Nikon (non-electronic) PC lenses. There aren't many focal lengths though. Also, Horseman makes a Tilt/Shift adapter with PL mount that can use various different lenses, but that will not focus wide lenses at infinity. I can't wait for Canon mount on Epic so I can use my TS-E lenses. While my Panchro 18mm exhibits some distortion, my Canon 17mm TS-E exhibits near Zero distortion, is wonderfully sharp and provides a lot of movement.

That's the one! The horseman! Anyone know where I can get one? I also have a set of compact primes that are full frame 35mm so they should be ok.

The tilt shift I am after is for weird arty stuff and not really for correcting angles.

On a horseman rig can I mount my hasselblad lenses on the front and have a pl mount on the back? That would be perfect

Which ones do you have? As soon as the Canon mount is available, I will at least purchase the 24mm TS-E. I will go from there.

The 17 and the 24. I keep holding off on the 45 and 90 as they are older designs. The 17 is absolutely freakish on FF35. The front element sticks out like a fisheye, yet it keeps architecture straight.

Adam,

I have organized a Horseman TSPro to come into Sydney and was going to shoot some tests next week. It has either canon, Nikon or PL camera mount and Hassleblad V Series front mount. The Blads are the only medium format glass that has a long enough rear flange depth for infinity focus. The Canon mount will probably give the best result as it has the shortest flange depth. I have a Canon mount if you have an Epic? Do you want to check it out

This is what you want...

and can do about 10,000 more adjustments compared to a Canon TS...
But it costs 10,000's more...
Way way way better than the ARRI TS system

Bank for buck, get the Canon TS.. quick easy and affordable. but limiting.
But with what most people want to use TS for (usually blurry art) the CANON TS is fine..
This Clairmount system with 6x6 blad lenses... is serious hard core, but probably the best lens system you'll ever own for ultimate image control, focus, macro... everything.

These will go to my grave with me.

WHy not.

I also have a heap of hassleblad glass. I got David Gribble to help shoot a tvc this week and he was using my 120mm Hasslblad macro for the ecu beauty shots. The look was amazing.
But it also helps to have one of the best DOP's in the industry shoot with you also!

I am around this week so look me up, adam at edenvideo dot com
