Check Craigslist and eBay. I'm sure some people will sell them this way, realizing that they still need to buy 10k worth of accessories.
 
On Craigslist NY, the last I looked someone was selling their spot in line. I think they wanted make $1000 or so on top of the cost.
 
Maybe you all already know this, but buying a Red Camera from an individual is a bit more complicated because of Red's appropriate policies on ownership, warranties and registration. It cost me nearly $1,000 for an EpicX transfer and an extended 90 day warranty to be officially in my name. Maybe Scarlet transfer fee is cheaper. Maybe "buying a spot in line" allows for the purchase to be done legit on the front end. Either way, I'm just reminding those who are interested in a deal like this that as the buyer, you MAY need to pay a transfer of ownership fee.
 
same price on the transfer fees, just bought mine used before the super deal happened lol... my whole life my timing has always sucked... their deal was so good I think I paid more for one with 43 hours then I would of had I just gotten in on the deal... which is sort of funny since at the time I thought the used price was a great steal, until Jarred threw this even better deal on the table. I really doubt it'll affect long term prices, I mean they sold out really quickly...I would of gotten a second camera had the deal came up when I had the cash...
